When we moved into our house seven years ago, the first thing I wanted to do was buy a decent table. Our sturdy and rustic table continues to be the pride of our kitchen and gets a lot of traffic – coffee drinking, homework, play doh, cooking lessons, freelance work, den – but it still manages to scrub up well for dinner parties and the highlight of the year – Christmas Dinner!

I did a really silly thing and sold my kitchen table on ebay for peanuts as it was so old and I really needed the cash for a new one but unfortunately one of my cats got sick and I spent the money on vet bills so sitting with our dinners on our laps (dreading Christmas as I also have visitors from Abroad) – fingers so crossed 🙂

We’ll be spending Christmas day with my partners family and Boxing day with my family. Plans are a bit up in the air at the moment, so I’ve no idea whats really happening! Last year we were expected to be at two places at once (due to people not living that close to each other and not wanting to travel for various reasons) and so ended up rushing from one place to the other! I have a feeling it might be the same again this year!
Could really do with a new dining table as we have my parents old one that lived in their garage for a while and although it’s still quite sturdy it is not exactly a pretty picture! Fab comp, i would love to win!

Well there should just be the four of us. but since yesterday, it looks like there may be a couple more. there we be plenty of food so I dont mind who turns up.
Husband, son, two friends who are travelling down from Yorkshire and probably my husband’s colleague who would be alone otherwise as the elderly aunt he cares for, is currently in hospital and may not be out for Christmas.

we will be doing the rounds boyfriends end in the morning to watch all the neice and nephew open their presents, then upto my mums in the afternoon with my nan and grandad for dinner

Mum dad brother sister brother in law 2 nieces and an 89 year old friend who is on their own
we are having 2 xmas dinners this year, one just me, my partner and the kids and other with his parents and grandparents as they are coming over from central America 🙂
There will be myself and Hubby, My daughter, her partner & their 2 year old, my daughter’s partner’s Mum & Dad, Anutie and Uncle and my own Mum and Dad. Dad is coming out of his care home for the day so we are all excited to have him home – but we are not looking forward to trying to cook for 11 people plus play with the 2 year old plus ensure Dad is comfy – it could all be quite manic!
