Indoor Picnic

April 7, 2015 by Katie Bryson

Birds Eye Indoor Picnic

Our family is very fond of a picnic and love packing up a bag of tasty goodies into the car and heading off into the countryside. This was the stunning scene for our Northumberland picnic at the weekend. The scenery is breathtaking when the sunshine comes out to play.

Sadly the weather doesn’t always behave itself, which we know all too well since we moved to the North East and a sea fret suddenly rolls in. But that doesn’t have to get in the way! Indoor picnics can be lots of fun too, especially with toddlers. We used to throw down a rug in our front room on a rainy lunchtime after nursery mornings for Arlo and his little gaggle of friends.

They thought it was the best thing ever eating on the floor while watching cartoons!

The beauty of picnicking at home is that you can rustle warming goodies up like these tasty Birds Eye BBQ Chicken Wraps that feature in my latest ad. Really quick and simple to put together with a few basic ingredients.

Do you ever have indoor picnics with your kids?

You can find out more about the campaign on the Birds Eye Website

Disclosure: I am working with Birds Eye to promote their Mix Up Your Menu campaign and will be sharing my ads and recipes over the coming months with you here in Feeding Boys.

Another cracking video Katie! We love an indoor (and outdoor!) picnic here, Izzy is rather fond of getting the rug out and making us all sit around with our sandwiches.

Thanks lovely lady. Yep indoor picnics are certainly well loved in our house still too…

Beautiful little book the audience were all given Beautiful little book the audience were all given at last night’s performance of #Here from @curious.monkey_ at @northern_stage. Such a powerful performance from the talented cast bringing together individual stories of what it means to seek sanctuary in the North East, the friendships that are forged and the spark of hope that refuses to be snuffed out. With the plight of refugees so visible right now, the timing of this performance was impeccable. #RefugeesWelcome #togetherwithrefugees🧡 #StoryCollectors
