Autumnal family suppers

October 21, 2013 by Katie Bryson

If you’re looking for easy weeknight suppers that’ll feed the whole family, then hopefully you’re going to love my latest round of recipes I’ve done for Parentdish. I created them with Bonfire Night and Halloween in mind, coming in from a chilly evening out and about to a delicious warm pot of good food.

Warming sausage casserole

Packed with sausages, tasty veg and chickpeas, this is a versatile stew that you can chop and change depending on what you’ve got knocking about in your fridge and storecupboard. Get the recipe here>>>

Honey mustard glazed sausage bake

Honey mustard glazed sausage bake

Tasty bangers tossed in honey and mustard and roasted in a pot with butternut squash, mini spuds and chunks of pepper. It’s a super easy meal that you can plonk in the middle of the table with a crusty loaf of bread and just let everyone get stuck into. Get the recipe here>>>

Pumpkin risotto

Pumpkin risotto

This pumpkin supper is based on my super easy baked risotto which means no slaving over a stove, you just sling it in the oven and let it do its own thing. It’s ultra comforting and fills up the hungriest of tums – even my giant vegetarian husband! I froze this batch all down into single size portions which he takes to work for his lunch. It has a sweetness to it but the herbs and cheese balance it well 🙂

Such a powerful performance from the talented cast bringing together individual stories of what it means to seek sanctuary in the North East, the friendships that are forged and the spark of hope that refuses to be snuffed out. With the plight of refugees so visible right now, the timing of this performance was impeccable. #RefugeesWelcome #togetherwithrefugees🧡 #StoryCollectors
