How swapping your sausages can help a worthy cause…

November 9, 2011 by Katie Bryson 1 Comment

Red Lion sausages

Red Lion sausages raising money for troops' charities

The boys and I are all decked out with our poppies for Remembrance Sunday, but I just wanted to let you all know about a range of sausages and bacon that can also help our troops and their families.

We nosh our way through a banger-tastic 36.8 million sausages and 203.2 rashers of bacon a week in the UK!

So if everyone swapped to the money-raising Red Lion brand, £20 million would be winging its way to troops’ causes and charities like the Royal British Legion and Help For Heroes.

Red Lion Foods was launched last October and donates 100% of its post-tax profits – that’s pretty amazing! You can find their sausages and bacon in Morrisons and Sainsbury’s.

If you’re looking for a decent sausage recipe, then hit this link for my back catalogue!

Beautiful little book the audience were all given Beautiful little book the audience were all given at last night’s performance of #Here from @curious.monkey_ at @northern_stage. Such a powerful performance from the talented cast bringing together individual stories of what it means to seek sanctuary in the North East, the friendships that are forged and the spark of hope that refuses to be snuffed out. With the plight of refugees so visible right now, the timing of this performance was impeccable. #RefugeesWelcome #togetherwithrefugees🧡 #StoryCollectors
