Have you eaten Mikado biscuit sticks before? They’re those long and ultra-thin crunchy biscuit sticks coated with delish milk chocolate, with one end left bare so that you don’t get sticky fingers while you scoff them. I’ve always been a fan of them for car journeys with the boys, as they’re a little chocolatey treat in a handy portable box that doesn’t make a huge amount of mess… i’m also pretty partial to snacking on them myself.
Mikado is a quirky brand known for celebrating the traits of different characters and personalities through eating rituals. So they sent me a selfie stick and a giant box filled with Mikado so I could stick out my personality and show everyone how I like to tuck in. Well here goes…
Yep, I decided to use them as edible sticks for fruity kebabs. I chopped up a juicy mango, speared a few chunks onto a biscuit stick and enjoyed the flavour pairing of chocolate, tropical fruit and crunchy biscuit… a little bit of something naughty and a little bit of something nice. The perfect little snack without a huge amount of guilt attached.
