Review of Good Life Frozen Ready Meals on feedingboys.co.uk
I’ve been testing out the new frozen ready meal range from GoodLife Foods. Perfect for busy days or office lunches, these ready meals only take 8 minutes in the microwave. They help you tick off an impressive three of your five a day in one meal! If you follow the 5:2 diet then you’ll be interested to hear that both of these meals come in at under 300 calories so make really good options for fast days.  The cauliflower rice helps keep things light, but the portion size is fairly generous given the low calorie count.

3 Bean Chilli with Cauliflower Rice

Red and white kidney beans, Pinto beans and sweetcorn in a spicy tomato chilli sauce.
Our Verdict: You can really taste the chipotle and paprika in this vegan chilli feast. It’s super-filling so a great option for a busy day.
How much? £2.00 from Morrisons

Vegetable Masala with Cauliflower Rice

Sweet potato and red peppers in a fragrant curry sauce made from coconut milk, tomatoes and a blend of Indian spices.
Our Verdict: Definitely my favourite – a mild creamy vegetarian curry that’s packed with flavour and protein. I loved how packed it was with chunky veg, lentils and chick peas.

Overall Verdict:

It’s great to see a range of vegetarian meals that are super healthy and packed with protein. They’re great if you just want to grab a quick meal, or even to take to work to heat up for lunch. I was really impressed by the punchy flavours and also how filling the meals are despite being low in fat and calories. You can find them in the Vegetarian section of the freezers at Morrisons.
