Spiced Apple Mojito Cocktail with Appletiser - quick and easy recipe for Christmas drinks

This delicious spiced apple spin on the traditional mojito is quick and easy to make and perfect for a Christmas drinks party. The rum and festive spices give you an instant internal glow that soon spreads to your cheeks. I’ve used a chilled bottle of Appletiser to bring some fruity fizz to proceedings – it’s not too sweet so doesn’t turn it into a sickly affair. In fact, you could probably sink a few of these, so be warned.

I love having a new cocktail recipe up my sleeve for the holidays, especially one like this which you can rustle up in a matter of minutes. It’s really worth stocking up your drinks cupboard in advance so you can cater for any unexpected visitors who might call round.

Spiced Apple Mojito Cocktail with Appletiser

Makes 2

Ingredients
50ml spiced dark rum
1 lime, juice only
30ml cane sugar syrup
1 whole star anise
4 cloves
1 tbsp chopped fresh mint, plus extra leaves to garnish
Crushed ice
Appletiser

Method

1. Put the rum, lime juice, sugar syrup, spices and chopped mint into a cocktail shaker and give it a good mix to combine.

2. Fill two tall tumblers about a third full with crushed ice. Strain the rum mixture out of the shaker between the two glasses. Top up with appletiser, garnish with fresh mint sprigs and serve immediately.

My husband makes a mean mojito but I think adding Appletiser to the mix would be AMAZING and I am definitely going to give it a go over Christmas.

I know this sounds really weird but I’ve never tried Appletiser! This mojito sounds delish, especially with the addition of star anise. 🙂

That looks so refreshing. Dark rum and apple juice go so well together – one of my favourite drinks.
