If you’re after quick and easy pasta recipes, i’ve got a tasty little run-down of the little gems entered into June’s round of Speedy Suppers. Sarah and I jointly host this event looking for meals that are on the table in under 30 minutes, and we also hooked up with Jac’s Pasta Please which had the theme of Fasta Pasta.
So get your bookmarks ready…
Super Healthy Pasta from Noble Nourishment is packed with flavour, plenty of veggies and very budget friendly too. Perfect for a quick weeknight supper when you need to turn to your store cupboard for inspiration.
Vegetable Ribbon Three Cheese Pasta from Juggle Mum, ticks a lot of boxes for my current healthy eating plan, as she’s cleverly used courgette to pose as pasta in this creamy supper dish.
Pappardelle with Cherry Tomatoes, Olives and Feta from Farmers Girl Kitchen sounds like a winning combination of flavours, using a little basil oil to finish is such a great idea.
Fresh Tomato Pasta from ProWare Kitchen is based on a recipe in the famous Silver Spoon Cookbook and just bursting with intense tomatoes and garlic. I think this sounds like the perfect dish to make when you’re on holiday and just need a very simple recipe that’s going to deliver on the flavour front!
Pasta with Spinach and Almonds from Spices Galore has got the lot – it’s quick, it’s full of flavour and it’s got crunch. I like the way you could just use what you’ve got available and get a super stunning result.
Vitamix Pesto with Giant Pasta Shells from my fellow hostess Sarah Maison Cupcake looks like tasty little number with morsels of bacon and asparagus to tempt you in.
Sarah also submitted her Linguine with Ham and Olives, which looks like a total winner for little people demanding their dinner on the double.
And finally my Lemon and Mint Pesto with Tagliatelle for an explosion of summer flavours
Send us your Speedy Suppers in July – Salads!
If you’re blogging a salad recipe in the next month that is on the table in under 30 minutes, don’t forget to link up with us!!!
I made this rainbow salad in a jar for picnics… check out some more salad ideas here, and then read on below for the rules for entering>>>
The rules are easy:
When:
Speedy Suppers runs from 1st month to 29th with full round ups of all entrants who have mentioned the challenge in their newly published post.
Where:
Speedy Suppers will kick off being hosted in alternate months by myself and Sarah at Maison Cupcake.
How:
Blog any speedy supper or family meal. We don’t mind so much what time of day you eat it, more so that your dish only takes 30 minutes or less to prepare. Please display the Speedy Suppers badge in the post with a link to that month’s announcement and both hosts, myself and Sarah.
Short cuts and cook ahead elements are actively encouraged i.e. using sauces, frozen food, left over bits and pieces as a component. So long as assembling/the bit where you actually cook it takes under 30 minutes that’s fine. Add the URL of your post to the linky below. This a blog hop so feel free to add the code to your own post so your readers can admire the entries received so far.
Nitty gritty:
Please be mindful of copyright, we don’t mind if you’ve adapted something from elsewhere or you made it from scratch. But if you submit something found online or in a book, just tell us where you found it.
One picture from each post submitted will be used in the round up, these pictures may also be shared on social media to spread the word about this event i.e. Pinterest, Google Plus etc etc. If you object to pictures submitted being shared elsewhere then please drop me an email.
We don’t mind you submitting your entry elsewhere to other challenges but please be mindful of other events’ rules.
We will try to retweet any posts using #speedysuppers that @ mention @maisoncupcake or @cookingkt
Round ups will be published on 1st of the month.
