Green dragon ice-cream milkshakes on feedingboys.co.uk

I’ve created this green dragon ice-cream milkshake to celebrate the release of the animated children’s movie Justin and the Knights of Valour.

It could be an after school pick-me-up, a drink for a knight’s party or even a dessert.

Kids will love to help you make this shake as you can give them all a special job to do whether it be rinsing fruit, preparing the kiwis, scooping ice cream or controlling the blender dial.

The boys loved the green colour of this drink and the fact that it had ice-cream in it! They’re not fabulous at eating fruit, but whizzed up into a milkshake they don’t seem to mind it at all!

Green dragon ice-cream milkshake
(Makes 4)

2 handfuls green grapes
4 ripe kiwi fruit
4 scoops vanilla ice-cream
250ml milk

1. Rinse the grapes, cut the kiwi fruits in half and scoop out the flesh using a teaspoon and all of the fruits to the blender.

2. Add the ice-cream and milk then whizz on top speed until smooth and blended. Serve in milkshake glasses to your little knights and dragons!

Love this idea Katie – I saw it come up on pinterest. Who can say no to an ice cream milkshake and the vitamix is so good at emulsifying that it must come out beautifully creamy. Yum! (one for a treat day for me and an after school drink for my kids!)

Thanks Nazima – yes it’s definitely a treat for the grown ups but perfect re-energiser for kids after a busy day at school!

I love the photos. Such fun. I am off to make Cooper a smoothie now instead of dessert.

Quite apart from the loveliness of the green dragon smoothie, I love the shy little green dragon in the photo! So cute x

There is nothing like a green smoothie. Since getting my Vitamix and having a daily green smoothie I have not even had a hit of a cold.

Love the little green dragon too!
