Cooper usually has a cooked lunch, but sometimes, I will give him a picnic style lunch. Falafel, chickpeas, slices of cucumber, slices of carrot, cubes of cheese and some oatcakes. He quite enjoys this type of lunch.

I don’t have children, but when I look after my nephews and have to make their packed lunch they get sandwiches (a variety of ham, cheese, tomato, cucumber depending on what I have and what they fancy), fruit (they like the little bags from the supermarket so I chop up fruit and put it in little tupperware boxes so they think it’s the same), sometimes cubes of cheese if there’s no cheese in the sandwiches, and a treat such as a small sausage roll or mini cornish pasty.

My son has medication which supresses his appetite at lunch time, but he usually has a wrap. A completely plain wrap! He loves it. He always has two pieces of fruit, a yogurt and then a small box of sultanas or a Yo Bear fruit roll. I like to add cherry tomatoes and red pepper slices too, sometimes he’ll have a little jelly as a treat 🙂 It doesn’t always all get eaten but I know it’s there if he wants it! To drink it’s usually diluted cordial, I’ve tried plain water and it just doesn’t happen.

My son calls it his picnic lunch. some sort of sandwich, ham, cheese and cucumber, tuna and sweetcorn smoked salmon on philly then on wraps, in pitta’s on roll’s. He loves fruit so strawberries, grapes or a banana. A little box of raisins, water or smoothie, a babybel and maybe a small cookie if he’s been good 🙂
