Treat Your Kids This Christmas With Hotel Chocolat Stocking Fillers

December 6, 2012 by Katie Bryson

I’ve worked a lot with Hotel Chocolat since starting my blog back in 2010 and have been consistently impressed with the quality and taste of their stuff. So I hope you don’t mind me sharing a nice guest post from them with you, to let you know what kind of treats they’ve got in store this Christmas:

Hotel Chocolat Chilli Penguins

The Christmas season is a time to be with family and to celebrate sharing, generosity and the gifts of the human spirit. It is also a time for presents. For many of us, the fondest memories of Christmas morning are of upending a Christmas stocking and seeing all the small treats pour out, from chocolate Santas to small toys, trinkets and gadgets. They may not have been big, but these little gifts provided hours of simple pleasure.

If you have children, you know that there’s a constant tension between wanting to make sure they have the best and wanting not to spoil them. Christmas, however, is a time to relax that guard a little. The season of giving is also the season of spoiling your kids. And what better way to give them a treat than with Christmas stocking stuffers?

One great way to do this is with stocking stuffers from Hotel Chocolat. Kids will love the rich flavour of Hotel Chocolat’s luxury chocolate as well as the fun Christmas shapes and characters.

Dasher The Reindeer

There are loads of Christmas stocking stuffers to choose from, ranging from Christmas-themed collections such as the Magical Milk Christmas to more unusual offerings such as the Alternative Mince Pies, filled with caramel and praline. There are also beloved Christmas characters such as Dasher the reindeer and Santa Claus himself, both in smooth 40% milk chocolate. The adorable characters continue with the Piglets in Blankets, a selection of five praline-filled little pigs so cute your kids might feel bad about eating them. Briefly.

For something a little spicier, try the Chilli Penguins, made of rich 70% dark chocolate with a hint of chilli, or the milder gingerbread men, made of creamy milk chocolate with a sprinkling of ginger. Chocolate and chilli have always gone together in Central America, and once you’ve had a bit of these winter warmers you’ll know why.

If a new arrival to your family or a new guest in your home doesn’t already have a stocking, you can do all your shopping in one stop by picking up a Hotel Chocolat Christmas stocking. This cool wintry white and blue stocking comes complete with a selection of Yuletide treats.

Of course, no shopping for stocking fillers would be complete without a little something for the adults in the family. The Tipsy Christmas Puddings, with their filling of fruit, spices, rum and brandy, are not really suitable for children, but they make great stocking fillers for any grown-up on your gift list.

With so many different stocking fillers to choose from, and discounts on orders of multiple items, it’s possible to find something for everyone on your Christmas gift list at Hotel Chocolat — and maybe a few treats for yourself as well!

Christmas is a time of shared warmth in the depth of winter, a time when good food and little luxuries serve to bring us closer together. There’s no better time to treat your kids and share with them the simple pleasure of a Christmas stocking full of delicious Hotel Chocolat treats.

Such a powerful performance from the talented cast bringing together individual stories of what it means to seek sanctuary in the North East, the friendships that are forged and the spark of hope that refuses to be snuffed out. With the plight of refugees so visible right now, the timing of this performance was impeccable. #RefugeesWelcome #togetherwithrefugees🧡 #StoryCollectors
