Christmas party season will soon be upon us, and shortcuts to quick party canapes are a valuable weapon to have stowed in your fridge.
I’ve been sent some fig and nut flavoured Boursin to try, and Matthew and I guzzled it quicksmart. Creamy cheese, sweet figs and crunchy nuts… it’s good stuff.
We spread it on ryvita, filled the ridges of celery with it and basically scoffed the lot very rapidly. I had promised to save the remaining packet to do some recipe development with, but it mysteriously disappeared from the fridge. Hmmmm wonder where that ended up?!
However, I will be buying some in next time we have a drinks party planned, and spreading it on little crostini toasts for quick-to-make nibbles. I guess I’ll just have to find a better hiding place in the fridge for it!
