It feels a little weird to be talking about Christmas already, but to celebrate the grand turning on of the Oxford Street Christmas lights on 5th November – this year by Robbie Williams *shriek* – I’m giving away a case of limited edition Marmite Gold.

This blinging version of the love it or hate it spread brought out for Christmas 2012, has the same taste but with the addition of edible gold flecks. GOLD FLECKS!

The Marmite Oxford Street Christmas Lights, which for the first time gives people the chance to appear within the mile long interactive display, will kick start the festive season in style with tens of thousands gathering on Oxford Street for the switch-on of the 300,000 bulbs of light that are hoisted above the street, signalling the start of Christmas in London’s West End.

    Robbie Williams – missed him turning on the lights in Blackpool as me and a friend had booked to see our favourite rockstar and was leaving the night Robbie was due to turn them on. Although we met Ian (our fav rs) rather than just see him. Good luck to everyone 🙂 😀 x

    I would love the actor Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) from “The Walking Dead” to switch on the lights. He is an amazing actor and really charming and funny. I’m so proud of the fact that a British actor has taken a main part in a very popular American show and he deserves recognition for this.

    Personally I’d like Sir Alex Ferguson to stitch my lights on … not sure the hubby and kids would be impressed though as two of them are Liverpool fans and the other ones a Man City fan (which means I deserve Fergie to come and turn my lights on for putting up with this lot!)

    If I got anyone to switch on my lights, I’d go with fictional character Trenton Kalamack from a very good series I’m reading. But if it had to be a real person, I’d go with…..Tim Burton.
