i had the most delicious full english breakfast at a little cafe in devon a few years ago. It was huge and filled me up for the entire day xx
When I went to New York, I was told the breakfast’s were amazing and the food was great etc…but it wasn’t till my last day there that I found my best, it was small italian place that did the biggest breakfast I’d had, eggs benedict, crispy bacon, a bagel and pancakes! Plus a nice glass of oj and a coffee. Amazing!
I had a delicious breakfast when out camping at Slayley, a gorgeous area in the Northumberland Countryside. There is nothing nicer than waking up from a tent and cooking a fry up on a home made log fire!!! The smell is out of this world and the taste beats any cooked breakfast in a cafe or restaurant!

I went on a coach trip to Italy when I was 21 – on my own! After having a very uncomfortable sleep propped up against a rattling coach window I woke up to the breathtaking views of the Swiss Alps. We stopped at a service station and had breakfast in the cafe – not the best I’ve ever had but the location was like something out of a great novel.

The best place I ever had breakfast was The Table Cafe in London. I enjoyed a full organic English Breakfast to myself with sodium nitrate-free bacon, grass-fed pork sausages, free range eggs fried in coconut oil, whole wheat toast and beautiful organic plumed tomatoes. Hell, even the plates were organic and I have to say I was slightly attempted to eat them!

We splashed out on a one night stay at a Hotel du Vin for my partner’s birthday in March this year, and the breakfast was amazing! He had kippers, I had french toast, we both had far too many pastries from the buffet as well as fresh toast, juice and proper coffee! A bit different to my usual grab and run approach at home!
I ate my happiest breakfasts in Summer 2002, in the overgrown, East-facing garden of my crumbling student house. I remember the sun shining on my face every morning, but realistically, there must have been some overcast days. I had just graduated and was starting a new life in the big, bad world of work. It was an experience to be eating my muesli at the same time as everyone else, rather than at 2pm!

I always enjoy breakfast in the holiday cottage I go to. It is a quaint little 2 up 2 down and it is almost on the beach . The high tide is within a few metres and on those mornings, whatever the weather, I sit out eating my muesli, on the deck, greeting the sea. If it is sunny, the sea glistens and it is still morning so very quiet. I might then have toast and jam and another coffee just to linger longer.

I think my best breakfast was a couple of years ago in my own back garden, in lovely warm sunshine, the day after returning from an overly priced holiday which descended into storms and a (thankfully minor) fire in the hotel.
When I was still a student I was going home after a night out with a friend in his car. We were discussing travel and I mentioned that I hadn’t been to France in years, and fell asleep. I woke up as he stopped in Dover (we both lived near London). He’d booked a ferry ticket as a surprise.
We got into France at about 6a.m., parked the car and dived into a nearby cafe for coffee and hot croissants, fresh from the boulangerie next door. I’ve never had such a wonderful breakfast before or since.

It was in New York. We had went as a family for my mums 50th birthday. We would always start the day as a family before my brothers went off and done their own thing. We found this really nice organic cafe, that was really relaxed feeling inside. There was a massive wooden table in the middle of the cafe that all diners sat at together. Many years ago I won a holiday to Dubai, far posher than any holiday I’d have ever paid for myself, thankfully breakfast was included in the prize because otherwise it would have cost £26 … each … per day! For your £26 though you got a room filled with food, an entire Indian buffet, there must have been at least 20 different curry dishes, full English buffet, continental – and tons of other stuff. I don’t normally eat breakfast and didn’t manage to get my head round curry for breakfast, but sitting in the sun eating feta cheese ,smoked mackerel and hot buttered toast was bliss.

I most enjoyed eating breakfast at the hotel the morning after my wedding purely because ALL of the important people in my life, my family and friends were together in the one room – it was the best breakfast ever!!
In the Arctic Circle on the deck of a ship watching whales surfacing
The breakfast I had on the morning of my wedding day in Stowe, New England. Such a strange feeling of being single for the last whilst tucking into strawberry pancakes mmmm….
A few years ago hubby & I were lucky enough to holiday in Australia. We travelled around Perth, Sydney & Melbourne and my favourite ever breakfast was when we stayed in a managed apartment on the 32nd floor of a building in Brisbane. We had a balcony that was roughly twice the size of our lounge at home so eating brekkie out on the balcony overlooking Brisbane centre and the river was amazing. Definitely a memory I like to pull out on rainy winter mornings in the UK when the only brekkie view I have is rain on the patio! @piperanddaisy

I most enjoyed eating breakfast at my grandfather-in-laws house. We only got to see him occasionally as we lived so far away, but he always made it special – pulling out the table, grapefruit slices, milk and cereals on the table to help yourself with a pot of tea. You were always made to feel special. Sadly he passed away, but I have continued the grapefruit tradition in my house and often pull out a tin for the kids which they love!x

My best meal ever was tea and toast after safely delivering my first child.
Best breakfast was at a hotel in Cheltenham, Hallery House (sadly no longer seems to be open) they made porridge with double cream and brown sugar and their full English kept our family going until dinner in the evening!

I have had the most fantastic breakfast while cruising down the Nile in Egypt freshly made omelette of my choice and fresh figs and dates with pancakes very yummy and also healthy
My favourite breakfast was on the Orient Express in our cabin watching the alps go by. Complete decedance!
I spent a couple of months in the Philippines with a friend and we found a wonderful little cafe that served freshly picked fruit and yogurt they made themselves. We sat out on the balcony looking over the mountains and enjoyed the peace and cool breeze before the town got busy, hot and humid. I’ve never been a morning person but I loved those breakfasts.

My best breakfast was when I holidayed in Dubai. Sitting with a view of the gorgeous hotel garden and choosing from the amazing array of food set out in the most artistic buffet I have ever seen. I could have stayed there all day! 🙂

I was once on the Greek island of Skyros and had snuck out of my room earlier to escape the island because ther landlord was threatening to keep my passport so I’d have to stay there and marry him – and he was nice but my daughter was at home waiting for me to finish my assignment and come home! I sat at a beach bar and ate my first ever Full English while waiting for the ferry to arrive and praying Nick wouldn’t come after me. I felt like I was in a movie! It was great!
