Our fmily Jubilee BBQ was the best!!!! It was held at my parents and lasted all day. My four children, along with my brother’s and sister’s children were all kept happy on the bouncy ‘Buckingham Palace’ castle we hired out!!! Lots of food, flowing wine, music and decorations throughout the day and then fireworks at night! It was a great day and enjoyed by all!

My best BBQ this summer is definitely the last one we had which was also my son’s Christening day. It was the only day over the bank holiday the sun behaved and shone all day for us, with close friends and family round and Pimms on the table that was by far my favourite BBQ day/evening.

It’s been a bbq-free summer so far – too wet! The chicken and chipolatas look soooo tempting! hurrah for an Indian summer and the chance to eat al fresco.
We’ve not even taken the rain cover off the BBQ this year, the weather has been so awful. Ironically it looks as if it WILL be BBQ weather this weekend – and we’ll be away on holiday and miss it!
Not been able to have a BBQ, too wet in the Lake District, its warmer now than it was in summer.

This is the first year we have had a garden so have been making the most of it by having several bbqs. My favourite moment was forgetting that I had a bbq going as I was painting my sons playhouse, when it finally registered that the nice smells were coming from our garden and not a neighbours I rushed over expecting to find a burnt mess, however the food was cooked perfectly and was by far the best I had ever managed to cook.

Had one planned that ended up under the grill and in the oven.not so good tastewise but the company made up for it. Should have been Corn on the cob, salmon with lemon slices and black pepper seasoning in foil, Pork sausage, home made minced beef, mixed herbs, Onion & garlic salt burgers with Home made BBQ sauce ( my secret recipe ) served with mixed salad tossed in my own comp winning recipe. .
200ml rapeseed oil, 80ml balsamic vinegar, ½ tsp ground ginger, 100ml dark soy sauce, 1 tbsp honey shake & store in fridge to use.
… one that was unplanned! We called at my sons house for a drink and a natter and the our daughter and her partner arrived, then a few friends and their children came along so we decided to all raid our fridges and freezers and crank up the barbie. Hubby was sent off to the out door for supplies and we all had a jolly good time.

In the unseasonably warm weather we had in March it was lovely if not a bit surreal to be able to wheel the barbecue out and feel the sun on our faces after the long dark Winter.
We had a bbq at my mother in laws house on Saturday night. We hadn’t had one all summer because of the awful weather we’ve had, it was dry (although windy and cold!) so we fired up the BBQ at 8pm, plugged the Ipod speaker in to the garage and had a lovely little get together with the family. There wasn’t much meat left in the supermarket at that time so we mainly ate ribs haha
Sadly no BBQ’s for us this year due to the bad weather and work!

We had a family BBQ in celebration for the Queen’s jubilee, It was really good and the children loved it, All the celebrations on the TV, All the flags round the village and such a great atmosphere.
Just a small family BBQ, toddler running around like crazy, dad working the BBQ and mum (me!) in the kitchen! The food was delicious, the usual sausages and burgers but also beautiful lamb koftas and chicken & pepper Cajun kebabs, yum yum

While the Olympics was on i held an Olympic themed BBQ for my friends and family. We had union jack themed tableware/napkins etc and even held our own retro sports day afterward with egg and spoon race,coconut shotput and sack races. It was such a lovely day.

The first thing we did when my boyfriend and I moved into this house was have a BBQ in the garden… we’ve never lived anywhere with a garden before so it was amazing!!

A christening on a day of torrential rain – a tarpaulin strung up across washing poles and some borrowed interlocking plastic events flooring put down on the sodden lawn. We had a really lovely time!

For my sons 8th birthday we had friends and family over, bought practically all the meat in the Supermarket and had a fantastic BBQ whilst the sun shone down on us.

We have not had any BBQ’s this summer.
We had a wonderful BBQ on the 4th August for our little boys 5th birthday, and the weather didn’t let us down. We spent lots of time preparing sticky ribs, chicken kebabs, chicken wings, seasoned pork chops and the obligatory sausages and burgers. It was a fabulous day and it ended with a massive water fight and lots of adults taking turns bouncing on the trampoline with the children. A great day remembered by all.
I haven’t been to any this summer – my family had one, but I couldn’t make it.
The best one was one that was totally unplanned until a couple of hours before.
A morning of unbroken sunshine, a series of texts & phone calls, then a whole bunch of family & friends up in the woods, building dens, playing rounders, falling in the stream etc!

Had too many they blur into one! We have family and friends round all the kids play and we have much needed adult conversation!
Best BBQ – when we had all the family round – my parents, brother, aunts and uncles and it was a brilliant summers day.
Our first ever one – a couple of months ago, just me my partner and my two gorgeous girlies. We had a great time. It was nice and quiet and the food was delicious. Time well spent with the most important people in my life in our own garden on a lovely warm night.
Our best BBQ, was actually the quietest. In our back garden, while our little girl was in bed!
At my stepdaughters for her husband’s 30th birthday. The food was delicious, with BBQ salmon, my favourite and lots of freshly made Jamie Oliver’s salads.

Had 2 bbq’s this year, disappointing!
Venison grill steaks, salad, coleslaw followed by a scones with jam and cream with lots of friends.
Not had one BBQ this ‘Summer’ (if we can call it that!!!) due to the awful unseasonable and unreasonable weather – so disappointed.:-(
This weekend just past, love LATE summer BBQ’s – family round, ice cold beer, nice food and kids laughing – PERFECT
My daughters birthday is in August and we have a big family BBQ each year, this year we had a great day and the weather was lovely too

We’ve hardly had the BBQ out this year and missed going to Truckfest Scotland (which for us consists of 3 days of everything cooked on the BBQ including bacon and eggs in the morning!) so the best BBQ this year involved hubby throwing steaks on the BBQ in the pouring rain because he said “they don’t taste the same from the kitchen”
A bbq in the park, sun-shining (in Scotland would you believe) with all my friends. It was a disposable bbq, we all brought different items to cook and washed it down with some cold cider and great banter

i went to a fundraising bbq for a theatre company and the food was ace and the puddings were incredible!
no garden – so no bbq’s shocking!!!!

A surprise BBQ 8th Sept for my 60th BIrthday we were supposed to be going 10 pin bowling! But what a fabulous night we had and the temperature stay warm all evening lovely!
My nieces christening bbq with all the family .We had a bouncy castle and pony rides ,the kids had a ball and the adults let their hair down on the karaoke we had a fab time the weather wasnt too bad either

Haven’t been able to have a BBQ yet, this summer has been a total washout
In April we used our bbq for the local Pool finals night, it was a great night, however the bbq caught fire and it was not salvageable so that was our one and only bbq this year.
No BBQ for me this year, Only days that have been nice have been on the days I work
No BBq this year either,,, the best has to be about 6 years ago the summer of 2006 when I got married
my goddaughters birthday was an amazing BBQ, the company, the food and the weather. it was great
Best BBQ was a rubbishy disposable one on the beach after a day in the sun- impromptu but fantastic!
We had a BBQ on my boyfriends uncles farm earlier this summer with around about 50 family members and we all camped in the grounds afterwards – so much fun!
A sputr of the moment one, when my family mentions the ‘r’ word the heavens open so we never plan our BBQ’s. It was great spening a nice summers day with great food and even better company

My mom had all the family round, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, we had a great, relaxed time.
The BBQ we had on holiday in cornwall, over looking talland bay was beautiful.
We have loads of nice ones but my favourite was a lamb only BBQ!! we had lovely lamb, mimt pesto, greek salad and chickpea salad, yummmmyy.

Summer – what Summer!
The best BBQ moment had to be when we started cooking our turkey steaks and burgers 2 of our neighbours went out and bought food for their BBQ, so all 3 of us sat out chatting and eating lovely BBQ food.

Haven’t had as many BBQs as usual over the Summer due to the grotty weather, but my favourite one was an impromptu one with just my hubby and my daughters – had a freezer full of BBQ food not used so my lovely hubby cooked up a meat feast for us all – delicious!
to wet this year
The one we had back in June. It was the first one that we had after my second granddaughter was born in April. All of my children were there, and the guests of honour were my gorgeous 9 month old and 2 month old granddaughters – it was a very special day
I’ve only had one this year … been to busy lol
So it has to be around my grandparents flat … its was a great BBQ to:)

Honey and mustard coated chicken thighs on the bbq in the rain with the brolly over it to stop it going out. Plenty of laughs and even more food. Great great day

We had an unplanned barbie in mum in laws garden, just 5 of us on one of the few sunny days we had. It was lovely to just sit and chat while the sausages cooked and the kids played.

my birthday bbq back in June. All my friends came and the afternoon carried on long into the evening. Everyone had a great time and there wasn’t a scrap of food left

I’ve had a few, I recently moved from a flat to a house with a garden. Its Great just to be able to fire up the BBQ. Best BBQ would of been on my birthday, invited all my friends and family to my house and had a massive party and GREAT FOOD!
