    Our fmily Jubilee BBQ was the best!!!! It was held at my parents and lasted all day. My four children, along with my brother’s and sister’s children were all kept happy on the bouncy ‘Buckingham Palace’ castle we hired out!!! Lots of food, flowing wine, music and decorations throughout the day and then fireworks at night! It was a great day and enjoyed by all!

  13. My best BBQ this summer is definitely the last one we had which was also my son’s Christening day. It was the only day over the bank holiday the sun behaved and shone all day for us, with close friends and family round and Pimms on the table that was by far my favourite BBQ day/evening.

    we had a fab bbq on holiday in cornwall visiting my brother. its the first time we have been to his new house & he met his baby nephew :) the weather was amazing which helped too & my brother’s girlfriend is a fab cook, making lots of yummy bbq food :)

    This is the first year we have had a garden so have been making the most of it by having several bbqs. My favourite moment was forgetting that I had a bbq going as I was painting my sons playhouse, when it finally registered that the nice smells were coming from our garden and not a neighbours I rushed over expecting to find a burnt mess, however the food was cooked perfectly and was by far the best I had ever managed to cook.

    Had one planned that ended up under the grill and in the oven.not so good tastewise but the company made up for it. Should have been Corn on the cob, salmon with lemon slices and black pepper seasoning in foil, Pork sausage, home made minced beef, mixed herbs, Onion & garlic salt burgers with Home made BBQ sauce ( my secret recipe ) served with mixed salad tossed in my own comp winning recipe. .
    200ml rapeseed oil, 80ml balsamic vinegar, ½ tsp ground ginger, 100ml dark soy sauce, 1 tbsp honey shake & store in fridge to use.

We called at my sons house for a drink and a natter and the our daughter and her partner arrived, then a few friends and their children came along so we decided to all raid our fridges and freezers and crank up the barbie.     We had a bbq at my mother in laws house on Saturday night. We hadn’t had one all summer because of the awful weather we’ve had, it was dry (although windy and cold!) so we fired up the BBQ at 8pm, plugged the Ipod speaker in to the garage and had a lovely little get together with the family. There wasn’t much meat left in the supermarket at that time so we mainly ate ribs haha

    While the Olympics was on i held an Olympic themed BBQ for my friends and family. We had union jack themed tableware/napkins etc and even held our own retro sports day afterward with egg and spoon race,coconut shotput and sack races. It was such a lovely day.

  258. We had a wonderful BBQ on the 4th August for our little boys 5th birthday, and the weather didn’t let us down. We spent lots of time preparing sticky ribs, chicken kebabs, chicken wings, seasoned pork chops and the obligatory sausages and burgers. It was a fabulous day and it ended with a massive water fight and lots of adults taking turns bouncing on the trampoline with the children. A great day remembered by all.

    At my mums on our one sunny weekend,got the paddling pool out, phoned round and got everyone up.Hung fairy lights round all the trees, had big cushions out to sit on and everyone brought something to cook or drink.We lit the chimera when the sun went down,lots of candles and dancing under the stars in our bare feet.Had a great night!
