My dad has been behind the kitchen since the age of 19 serving and cooking food for everyone but rarely has the chance to have nice gourmet food served to him. Working from 10 to 11pm only with an hour break in between to eat whatever he can find in the kitchen in the restaurant but banned from all seafood. Yet his wages goes to me, my brother and mum to buy good food to cook dinner yet he only gets to eat one day of that when it is his day off. I would love to spoilt my dad with this just a small thank you for looking after us all these years. It won’t be enough but its a start, a start to saying how much we love him

My dad deserves a special BBQ treat because he works very hard in a job where he doesn’t feel extremely valued, he’s a super granddad to my sons – he takes them out every single weekend.

My Dad –
I came into the world, some time ago.
When I arrived it was quite a show!
For many years now, I have grown
With many a cry, and a little moan.
I sleep at any time I choose.
When I awake, Dad’s having a snooze!
He has large bags under his eyes,
Looking after me, it’s no surprise!
My Dad has seen this every day,
Yet his love has never gone astray.
I wish I could repay his everlasting love.

My Dad deserves a BBQ treat as it’s always my Dad who cooks for everyone else in the family, so it’d be great to be able to sit him down and spoil him for once!
Because he is there for all of us through thick and thin, never putting himself first and always ready to listen to all our gripes and moans. He is the best!!!
I would love to win this not for my dad but my OH who should/could be a chef. He loves nothing more than a cold beer whist standing over a hot BBQ for hours!! Big fans of Pipers Farm already with the butchers a stonethrows away from us!

Just because he is MY Dad
My mum never liked BBQ’s so we never had them as kids, but it would be nice for me to be able to invite him round for one now – if it ever stops raining that is!
Nothing makes him feel more like a man, dad and provider than firing up the barbeque and getting his pinny on!

My husband deserves this treat as he is a fabulous dad, and he lost his own dad recently so me and the kids are planning on trying to make the day as special as we can for him, and although it will be sad, we will try show him how much we care.

My ‘dad’ doesn’t, but my OH’s dad is fantastic. He works hard and is always willing to help up my partner and his siblings whenever they need help. He loves them unconditionally and cares deeply about them all. He’s a great man.

my Dad passed away 5 years ago so am nominating my hubby, who is daddy to Rosie 15 months.
I am disabled and he is my carer, as well as looking after the baby and doing the majority of the housework and he has a part time job. He’s wonderful, selfless, funny and kind.
Would love to win…..My dad works so hard would be great for him to have an afternoon off and have some family time…..Well as long as we get some nice weather

My Dad was a butcher until he had an accident ( not work related ) a few years ago, this left him disabled but he has a fantastic knowledge of meat and cuts so would really appreciate this

My childrens dad deserves a special treat as hes just been diagnosed with swollen arthritis in his ankles and is refusing to go on the sick from work as im on long term sick so he’s living off pain killers until his hospital appontment. He has just had to sell his beloved motorcycle as his ankles wont allow him to ride anymore and hes heartbroken
my girls dad deserves this as he works soo hard during the week and when i go to work at the hospital at weekends he takes good care of our little one and makes the most amazing roast dinner ( he makes the best yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes) for when i get in on Sunday afternoons not just for us but our parents too.

My dad deserves an extra-special treat this Father’s Day as this last 8 months have been horrendous. He has just come home from a 3 month spell in hospital receiving treatment for lung cancer, including 4 operations, battling hospital acquired pneumonia and his lung collapsing 5 times. He is still battling the disease but still puts his family and grandchildren first and spares not a thought for himself. He truly is a dad in a million!

Plus he has had an accident which has rendered him unable to use one of his hands for the last few months and this has made things quite difficult for him as he was unable to do basic tasks like buttoning his pants let alone work etc. He now has pins and wires in his hand and is undergoing physio and I know this has left him feeling a bit blue…

My partner, my boys dad, deserves a BBQ treat because he’s taken care of both of our boys (2 yrs and newborn) whilst i’ve been in hospital with a critical illness following to the birth of our youngest. He’s been amazing, taking care of night feeds, housework and all childcare, and the three of us love him so much. Sorry – i know it’s a bit soppy! x
Even though I’ve grown up and left home Dad still insists on supplying me with toilet paper, washing detergent and chicken, so it’d be nice to give something back.

As my children would say ‘ Our daddy deserves a BBQ treat because he looks after us when mummy is at work and he is the bestest’ and Mummy (me) would say ‘ He is an amazing daddy and acts more like the housewife (so house husband) than I do, on top of work he looks after our children and does all of the housework whilst I am studying, working and being pregnant with baby number 3! I am like an extra child lol (I do love to cook for him though, so this would be a wonderful treat for him on Fathers day even if I do have to whack it in the oven because of the rubbish weather at the moment!!xx
